The 14th Beijing International Film Festival is set to open Thursday at the Yanqi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center in Beijing's Huairou district. Local authorities and departments have worked diligently to ensure a successful event. Huairou district has coordinated security, traffic, and fire safety measures to facilitate the smooth operation of the opening and closing ceremonies. Transportation enhancements include adding 1,400 parking spaces and 37 shuttle buses as well as increasing taxi services to manage attendee flow.
